FG declares only January 1st as New Year Public holiday!

Please does anyone agree with me that the Federal Government is not being fair? FG just declared that only January 1^st, 2015 is earmarked as a public holiday for Nigeria asides the expected Christmas holidays, 25^th & 26^th December. Since when do public workers get only one day off for a celebratory holiday like New Year’s Day? I strongly believe this should be reviewed especially for the sake of hardworking Nigerians like myself.

The declaration was made by the Minister of Interior, Abba Moro, in Abuja today. He enjoined all Christian faithfuls and Nigerians in general to extend the spiritual benefits of Christmas, which are love, peace, justice, kindness to their daily lives and through this contribute to the development of the nation. He went on to urge that Nigerians should use the occasion to pray for peace and unity across the country. He wished all Nigerians a happy Christmas and prosperous New Year celebrations.
